June, the steps of summer came closer, the city air became dry, the afternoon sunlight shone more brightly, I become lazier.
June, a suitable time for staycation on an outlying island, enjoying air-conditioning while watching TV on sofa, having a bath, playing video games or just looking at the sea view, relaxing.
We arrived at the Central Pier 3 in the afternoon and took the ferry to Discovery Bay, which was around 25 minutes to get there.
When we got on the island, we took bus No.4/ 9 to Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong to start our staycation. Since the hotel has been collaborating with the Monchichi brand lately, you could see Monchichi everywhere in the hotel, every Monchichi fan wouldn't want to miss this.

After checking in, let's take a room tour! There're different themes for the rooms, the one I lived in is the Great Barrier sea view room.
Ta-da, the first thing that caught my sight once I walked in was the big window of sea view. Looking out of the window, you could see the blue sky and tranquil sea, which is everything I've dreamt of for a vacation! Then, look around the room, you could find Monchichi everywhere on the sofa, window, mirror, desk and bed, they were adorable!

Inside the bathroom, the bathtub seats right next to the window, guests might enjoy a bath with Monchichi and the amazing sea view.
Another room was a panoramic sea view room, just imagining lying on the bed, looking at this view, I bet I could stay with this the whole day.
After taking a look at the room, we went downstairs for the keychain workshop (Cookie class for weekend visitors). Getting our own favourite pattern, colouring and compressing, the keychain was finally finished. The back of the keychain was a mirror, which was quite suitable for girls.
After the workshop, let's enjoy the Monchichi afternoon tea. Monchichi was on the plate, sandwich, cheesecake, pudding, muffin. The food looked and tasted good.

After the tea, we had a stroll around the hotel, this is the popular white church kept on appearing on the insta feed. Many couples come this far for some photos.
Surrounded by the western style buildings and the atmosphere made us feel like we were traveling outside Hong Kong. And there were less visitors on weekdays, we could enjoy some quiet moments here. The one thing I learnt was to live in the present, enjoying the breeze and the time with family.
Since it was too hot outside, we decided to go back to the hotel, playing with video games and basketball in the activity room. We had so much fun.
In the evening, we went back to our room and took a bath, looking at the view outside, the hot steam and aromatic smell around, it's so relaxing.
The next morning, we went to the restaurant for breakfast buffet, there were lots of choices, both western and chinese food, bread, salad, yogurt, fruit, dim sum, noodles and so on.
If you got tired of the hustle and bustle city life, I recommend you to plan on a little vacation for yourself on an outlying island, to stay away from the noise and leave everything behind, just to relax and enjoy these precious moments in life.
