There are lots of best eats in the city and here is a list of mine. The seaside cafe, most instagrammed cake, authentic matcha place and so on will have you rolled out of bed happily.
Celsius Coffee Co.
It is no doubt one of my favourite brunch spots, not only for its glass-fronted view ferry wharf view, but also for its photogenic pancake. This cafe is located in the quiet neighbourhood, Kirribilli where you can enjoy your food while listening to the waves
Cafe Once upon a time
Decorated with the vintage style, the dishes they offer are not old-school. Capping the pancake off with marshmallow had even made it sweeter, a great choice for a sweet tooth.
Textbook Boulangerie Patisserie
Owned by the Pastry Chef John Ralley who was part of 'The Australian Pastry Team, had created this irresistible croissant for a truffle fan like me.
Black Star Pastry
Declared as 'the world's most instagrammed cake', layered with almond dacquoise, rose-scented cream and watermelon, and topped with strawberries, pistachios and dried rose petals, this strawberry watermelon cake is fresh and sweet, suitable for a dessert after meal.
Sydney Fish Market
This may be a bit too luxurious to have seafood for breakfast but for the passion of seafood, it is worth the money to spoil yourself once in a while. No matter the raw ones or the cooked ones, there are always something that suit your appetite!
Match-Ya
With the offering of authentic green tea, this Japanese cafe is a must-go for matcha fans. This matcha swiss roll and matcha ice-cream I got are very rich in matcha flavour.
Two Sis & Co.
The breakfast of avocado on sourdough, a fresh poached egg, some dried tomatoes and pomegranate seeds is plentiful.
Bourke Street Bakery
For any bakery lover, you do not want to miss this place. Insist on the homemade bakery, Bourke Street Bakery has become one of the most iconic food places in the city.
The Rocks Market
Get tired shopping at the Rocks Market? Check out some of their food stalls and take a rest at the chair beside. I had ordered these kangaroo meat, crocodile meat and salmon skewers. I know, it sounds cruel to eat the meat of the lovely kangaroo but it worths to try once in lifetime. The taste of the kangaroo meat is like beef and the texture is tender but the texture of crocodile meat is tough.
Cuppa Flower
It is hard to resist the temptation of a colourful and mouth-watering salad and a cute Totoro-looking cake for brunch. This cafe is combined with a floral store and cafe, enjoying this healthy brunch in the fragrant environment is a good way to start off the day.
